I had a lecture today about fashion forecasting (creative solutions, design intelligence, futures). It was really helpful as it gave good reference into what is coming into fashion enabling me to keep my work current with the new seasons trends.
The 80's fashion has been very inspirational to fashion recently and I was becoming worried that it would go off the radar. However, I am pleased to know that whilst big shoulders might be off the list an 80's influence especially in colour will still be top priority. There will also be a lot of Historical influence meaning that I can bring in my 18th Century look.
I think from looking at this presentation I can clearly see a mixture of textures and colours, with detail to layering up garments and embellishment. The overall look is quirky with a rugged historical romantic feel with a bohemian reference. When searching for garments and putting the looks together I will try and make sure my overall looks incorporates this.
