Doc Martens were popular during the 80's due to the punk sub-culture. I was really inspired by similar looking boots in the Marc by Marc Jacobs ads and can really see them working with my overall look. I think by having the Georgian dresses and brightly coloured Doc Martens underneath will subtly show the 80's link. However Doc Martens come at a price (usually £40-£80) that I know I will not be able to afford, especially if I want a pair for each model. I will therefore look for 2nd hand boots in charity shops, markets and ebay with the idea of spray painting the boots a bright colour.
