Although tights were not necessarily an 80's accessory (it was more often leggings) I think it will be easier to use tights as they are cheaper then leggings and also not such a heavy material. I think if I am to be using 18th Century clothing there will be a lot of layers so leggings underneath would not only be hot and uncomfortable but they may also look too bulky. I think with tights I will also be able to get more of a range of colours that I could use to show underneath the dresses and maybe contrast with the colour of the Doc Martens.
I took an Georgian styled image from a photo-shoot which I then edited on Photoshop to add bright pink tights as an example of how my 80's mix of styling will work with the 18th Century. I really like the quirkiness of the overall image and think it will work really well with my garments.
