I've started to look into 80's fashion to develop my own inspiration from what Zoe showed us in her 80's influence. I've mainly looked into American 80's fashion because the colouring is brighter and there is a more conservative mix with the styling, for example there is a strong use in materials like Lycra and Denim rather than a over layered look, it is very structured and body hugging. I think when it comes to doing my own styling combined with 18th Century clothing, I will have to be very careful on how much I bring from each subject. Because 80's has been a major influence in fashion over the past few years I feel as though it has been exhausted. I think because of this I will try and bring out the majority of the styling with 18th Century and bring in the 80's element with the use of colour inspiration in accessories and props.
