Today I picked up the edited photographs from Ben. He offered to edit the photographs for me, something which I usually do myself but has saved me a lot of time. I was very surprised that he had edited them so quickly but this was very beneficial as it has given Emily a good basis to edit the photographs from the Stanmer shoot similarly.
I think the most beneficial aspect of Ben editing the photographs for me, is the fact that he has edited them down to the photos that he thinks work the best. I find it very difficult to choose the final photographs so by Ben only editing a selection that he likes, has made it easier for me to choose the final ones I want to use.
I'm really pleased with the photographs as they look professional and defiantly give the fun aura I wanted to produce from this set. I think the colours work beautifully and contrast well.
My only concern is that some of the photographs have been edited with a heavy emphasis on the brightness and contrast, I think that some photographs may need to be reduced down to fit in with the other photographs from Stanmer.
I am really pleased with his work and would defiantly use him again as he was good at directing the models, he brought a great enthusiasm to the shoot with his own ideas and he edited and had the photographs back to me in excellent time.
As I want to produce a magazine spread I'm now thinking of publications that may fit well with the photographs. I really like the Tim Walker/Annie Leibovitz style the photographs have so Vogue may be a good option.
However I think Lula Magazine will probably be the best suited as the photographs seem best suited for the publication which almost specialises in beautiful images mixing with the real and the imaginary.

I think this is the only image that I may edit as I think the black leotard looks too harsh against the pastel colours. I will probably make it the same blue as the lining on the dress Elise is wearing.
