Stanmer Park

As I have still not heard back from the people at Kingston Lacy (despite continuing to call almost everyday) I have contacted Stanmer Park. Stanmer Park was built in the early 1700's and has the typical characteristics of a Georgian House. The reason I had not considered Stanmer Park as a location option is because it is in Brighton, East Sussex.
But because of problems in Bournemouth, I have decided that it may be easier to move the photo-shoot to Brighton where I am from and where I therefore have models and make-up artists that I know there that would be able to help me out.

I've been forwarded your email after speaking to a member of staff at Stanmer House.

I'm currently looking for a location for a Georgian inspired photo-shoot.

I'm a fashion student from The Art University at Bournemouth in my 2nd year and this current project was about exploring what we love and inspires us.

Having lived in Brighton all my life I have always loved Stanmer Park and felt it would be a great place to recreate the 18th Century life of the Estate but with a contemporary twist.

I'm looking to do the photo-shoot after the Easter Holidays later this month probably over one weekend (although I may be able to do it during the week if this is a problem).

As well as doing the photo-shoot I also have a film student who would do a small fashion film to go alongside the photo-shoot.

I would be interested in doing some photographs in the house but mainly in the grounds.

I can also provide all copies of the photographs and film to Stanmer House for its collections.

Samantha has got back to me straight away to say that I can use the house to do my photo-shoot, which is an added bonus as at Kingston I would have been unable to use the inside of the house.

I think the wall colours and window seats would look great with the model dressed in Georgian clothing. I think the house has a lot of potential despite not having the furniture. I think the sense of space in the rooms and smaller details like the ornate panels and doors will be enough to be reminiscent of the Georgian period. Stanmer Parks Virtual Tour of the house really helps to give a sense of the inside of the house and possibilities on where to photograph and film.

I think the grand staircase would be great to feature the model walking down the stairs and draping along the banisters.
