I wanted to create a website to have as an online portfolio. From my previous Entomology and Ornithology project I had designed a web based E-book layout. This was very simple and would basically be on one page.

I have taken this initial design and felt that the photographs would work better if they took up the whole page. I have also used my blogspot as an initial design to work from. I really like the simplicity of my blog and think it would work well transferred over to a web site design. For all my work I have used Verdana so I wanted to keep the link with my other online programmes. I have also taken the logo design of the rose from my blog.I wanted a very simple layout so that the coding could be embedded onto the overall image with hyperlinks. Joshua Stanbridge has been helping me put the website into work online by adding html over the original images.
This is only a simple layout as he has only began to learn html coding for a website.
Ideally I would like my home page to look like the image below so that when you click on the Portfolio it opens up links to this project and my previous work, the same will be for the Videos.
This is an example of how the page will look when the links are open. At the moment I will just focus on having the 80's vs 18th C showing as I can develop my website over the summer.
The main photo can be changed so that my current work is always shown as an example.I've just written a small paragraph about me so that this will come up when the link About Me is clicked.
This is what a landscape photograph will look like on my blog. I have kept the home button present so that the viewer can return to the home page. I have also done a simple logo to link with the previous page and the next image. I have added my copyright details alongside in smaller font so that it is not intrusive of the actual image.
This is an example of what the portrait image will look like. It is the centred to the middle of the landscape image and the Home link and next image links are in the same position. I will keep these two templates for each image so that the website has a consistent feel.
At the end of the photographs I will have a page of the credits, this will also have the links back on the left hand side.
