Tester Shoot in the Studio

I decided to do a tester shoot for this project because of the enormity of it. Natasha Hale, one of my models dropped out completely last minute and Ilana was ill. I therefore had to find two more female models during the day to stand in for them. Anushka's friend Holly Macedo and Emily's friend Elise Price managed to step in for me. I had two girls (Lauren Ward and Emily Indah) from make-up helping me out with the make-up and hairstyling. The shoot was at the photography studio that we had booked for 4.30 - 8.30.
I had Anushka and Naomi Farmer helping me out with the dressing and styling. This was very helpful as a lot of the clothing had many layers and the stays needed more than one person to tighten them. Also having four models to dress was very time consuming so the extra help was needed.

Emma wears an 80's inspired playsuit with Electric blue shoes and lace gloves. The Georgian style stay worked well to break the 80's look up but I think it works better with one shoulder out as you can see more detail of it.

Elise wears an 80's slogan T-shirt with 18th C Panniers and stockings. She is also wearing Doc Martens and sunglasses. I felt the pink Leg warmers completed this outfit and gave it the right amount of 80's mix with 18th Century.
Elise wears 18th Century dress with stockings and electric blue shoes. I think either the hat or bow works well although I think the hat is more in keeping with the 80's. One mistake I made with this outfit was I forgot to add the panniers before I did up the stay. When it comes to the Kingston shoot I will make sure to put them on the model before the stays are done up.

Matt wears a blue shirt and trousers both 18th Century inspired with 18th Century Waistcoat and pink socks.

I think the looks work really well. It is good to have a basis to work with as on the actual day of the shoot we will be very busy just getting to different locations. I have asked Elise to be my extra model for the shoot as Natasha has dropped out. I think she worked really well with the costumes and had a lot of enthusiasm which came out in the photographs and hopefully will happen on the actual day.
